You are here: Profile Our company, EL GRECO was set up in 1979 in Chania, Crete, and has been run by Mr Margiolakis Evangelos from the outset. At first EL GRECO HOTEL established in the old town of Chania and then in 1984 we opened our car hire company. In 1987 we have opened a travel agency for incoming services and then in 1998 we have extended our services in ticketing and outgoing tourism.
The company has since developed into a very successful tourism organization in Greece, with travel agencies, hotel and car hire company.
The agency, with head office in Chania, has a total of 2 branches in Crete’s biggest tourist centres and 1 branch in Cyprus.
Exemplary of the winning philosophy of maintaining quality by providing all-round customer service, the division deals with all aspects of incoming tourism for both groups and individuals working in close partnership with some of the largest Tour Operators world-wide to promote Crete as a top Mediterranean destination.
In order to catch the multitude of tourist requirements, it has created a complete portfolio of dedicated services for groups and individuals that includes hotel reservations, meet and assist services, airport and hotel transfers with new luxury coaches, driven by reliable and experienced drivers, car rental, hotel representative services, excursions, mini cruises and special interest holidays.

Our affiliated company, EL GRECO Rent a Car, has some 95 rental cars, which means guests have the opportunity to explore Crete under their own steam. What we call our Fly and Drive Programme is available both with and without hotel reservations. Rent a Car has branches and other co operators all over the island too, so that rental cars can be collected and returned almost anywhere on the island and in every contracted hotel.
With a strong position in the local market and close contacts with hotels and other tourism professionals it ensures that they deliver the standards required while keeping prices competitive. At the same time, a multilingual team operating from offices in all resorts ensures quality of service and a high level of professionalism.
